All In One App v2.5 BETA / 27 July 2019
"The last app you will ever need"
Written by boobs_luver
This is a pre-release of the All in One App - version 2.5
It is available in BETA while the documentation is being updated to reflect the changes. Once that
is done, the main app will be updated and this version will be deleted! In the meantime, feel
free to test and try it out, and please provide me with feedback, if you have any.

Release 2.5 BETA
This release of the All in One App is largely a complete usability overhaul to make working with
the app easier and more comfortable and remove the "oops-factor" completely. Improvements have
been made to validation of the launch form, the way commands work, how and what information is
shown and how everything looks. Additionally many other parts of the app have been optimized and
quite a few new features have been added as well, one of which is an auto-moderation tool.
An overview of changes:
Validation of the launch form, where broadcasters enter their app settings, is now performed at
startup. If any of the fields that require specific input contain something that the
app doesn't understand, you will see error and warning messages after starting. The messages
will clearly explain what is wrong and often what needs to be done to fix the problem.
All commands, including their help info, have received a face-lift. In fact, the whole command
system, the dynamic help and almost all commands have underwent a near-complete redesign.
Depending on their function, commands now follow a set of rules...
Commands that allow the host and mods to change something:
- the command without arguments provides info only, send privately (eg: "/goal")
- to remove or disable something, explicitly use argument 'none' (eg: "/goal none")
- to add/change something, explicitly provide the info (eg: "/goal single 1000 Surprise!")
- any changes are send as a warning notice to the room (eg: "Notice: boobs_luver changed the goal")
Commands that provide information:
- the command without arguments provides that info privately only (eg: "/menu")
- any arguments for these commands are available to host and mods only
- to send the info to the room, explicitly use argument 'all' (eg: "/menu all")
- alternatively, to send the info to a user, use their name as argument: (eg: "/menu random_user")
To help distinguish different types of messages send from commands and other parts of the app,
the messaging module has been redesigned. The message types and their colors:
- private: grey, normal (with exceptions: whispers, welcome message and error messages)
- public: blue, bold (can be changed in launch form)
- warning (public): yellow, bold
- error (private): red, bold
To support the new messaging system with its colors and styles, proper theming has been introduced!
You may now choose from a few built-in themes or set your own base colors in a custom theme. More
themes and options will follow later. Additionally to choosing a theme for notices, you can now
also set a font-family for the chat text.
The dynamic help system has been completely redesigned and optimized - both code and content.
Help, info and error messages will now also refer to the online docs (at chaturfier.com) regularly.
This extra info is only shown to host and moderators.
Next to all of the above, another auto-moderation tool has been added: the tip-menu auto-suggest!
It automatically responds with a suggestion to people asking/requesting/demanding things that are
available from the built-in tip-menu, in one way or another. The suggestion text (or template)
can be set in the launch form, as well as the "intrusion-level" which can also be set with a
command. Additionally there's a command to make manual suggestions.
Next to Theming and the Auto-suggest, a third module has appeared in the launch form: the Timer.
It can now be turned on/off at app start and through the /toggle command. Additionally you can make
it run UP instead of DOWN: "/timer up".
This is just a birds-eye overview. A more detailed changelist will be added to the docs.
All in all this release addresses the user-friendliness of the All in One App, through extreme
optimizations and more and clearer information. This will benefit hosts (especially in busy rooms),
moderators and all other users.
Stay tuned: much more still coming!
